WHY SO MUCH EMPHASIS ON JOLLOF?

Below are 10 personal, very emotional reasons why:

1) Jollof is basically rice and stew cooked together.
Any girl who can cook good jollof is subconsciously
socialised as to how to peacefully co-exist, handle
conflicts and conflict resolution and other delicate
matters.

2) Jollof takes time to be done.
Any girl who can cook good jollof is naturally patient,
determined and focused; Persistent and resilient.
Tolerant. Elastic.

3) Jollof comes in different feels and tastes depending
on your current physical, emotional, psychological,
spiritual and/or economic state.
That is to say that a good jollof cook should be able to
cook vegetable jollof, meat jollof, fish jollof, beans jollof
and jollof muchuchu (without any protein source).

Any girl who is a good all round jollof cook is able to
make the most of any given situation depending on the
ingredients she is given. She maximises every least
opportunity and brings out the best in any given set of
resources: Scanty or bountiful. Resourceful, versatile
and malleable!

4) Jollof requires attention. At different points you have
to stir, taste, sprinkle water and make sure it doesn't
burn.
Any girl who can cook good jollof is subconsciously
taught to be caring. She can check on me 70 million
times a day without getting tired or agitated.

5) Jollof at a stage requires that it is covered by a neat
napkin/rubber. This helps it to cook evenly and gives it
that jollofy taste and feel.
Any girl who can cook good jollof is able to handle my
demons, contain them and cover them with heat and
fire; So well so that third parties are unable to see
what is actually happening under the mix. What
happens under the napkin, stays under the
napkin...Discretion!

6) Jollof is an alloy.
For a girl to master the ministry of jollof cooking, the
girl should have mastered the arts of cooking plain rice
as a meal and at least 4 different kinds of tomato
stew: Gravy, meat stew, fish stew and vegetable stew.
That, dear friends, is a very powerful precedent the
determination of a girl who knows how to cook many
dishes. Diversity.

7) Jollof is mostly eaten with salad, meat/grilled tilapia,
eggs and kelewele on the side.
A girl who can cook good jollof with all the right
accompaniments is not just a girl who can multitask;
She is multi-faceted and multi-talented as well! Great
wifely and motherly trait.

8) Jollof requires different specific degrees of heat at
different stages of its cooking.
Show me a girl who can cook good jollof and I'll show
you a girl who can take and regulate the heat in the
relationship to suit its growth in every stage. Call it
MATURITY for short.

9) It takes a very humble, hospitable person to accept
to cook a good man some good jollof considering all
the time, effort and risks involved.

10) Jollof requires intentional skill and focus. Research
has shown that a girl who can cook good jollof is also
a girl who is very compassionate.
